The Inbetween.

Somewhere between where I grew up & where I am now, I learned how to try. And I was good at trying. Good at a lot of things, actually, but I didn’t know what to be. I met myself in fragments.

I started as a marine biology major. I liked the ocean. The calm chaos of it, the colors, the marine life. But the science didn’t move me the way the feeling of things did. What I craved was freedom, not formulas. I found it in moments that didn’t seem big at the time. A friend handing me a camera, a playlist that changed the way a walk home felt, a late-night conversation that made the world feel wider. That’s how I found creativity, not through a door, but through a series of cracks in the wall.

With Meaning.

Not a master of one, but drawn to all of it. For me, it’s never been about the tools. It’s about translation. Taking what I feel and shaping it into something someone else might recognize in themselves.

It didn’t happen all at once. No big moment or breakthrough. Just a slow build. A blur of design, photography, music, art, marketing. All parts of the same language. Soccer’s always been part of that too. My foundation. My creative outlet before I even knew what that meant. I played the #10. It taught me how to see people. How to find space. How to trust vision. That instinct shows up in everything I make. The visuals, the tone, the timing. I became detail-obsessed. Not for polish, but for meaning.

I ended up in marketing. At first out of necessity, then by choice. The structure of it helped me grow… deadlines, collaboration, strategy. But I always gravitated toward the feeling of things, the textures, the colors, the rhythm of a story. That’s still what drives me.

I moved to Nashville for a soft reset. I found my way back to soccer, fully. Now I’m the Marketing Director at Nashville United Soccer Academy. A full-circle moment where creativity, culture, and sport meet.

These days, I pull from everything: my favorite artists, 35mm film, video games, SoccerBible editorials, the tension right before kickoff. Still care about typefaces. Still obsessed with the newest cleat release. Still trying to make things that people can feel, even if they don’t know why.

There’s no clean title that fits. Creative direction, photography, design, video, it’s all connected. I’ve never been interested in choosing one lane. I just make things. Things that carry feeling. Things that might help someone feel a little more seen.
